Some of my favorites photos: hi-res for large prints / wall hangings
Watching the tower cut a swath through the fog on a colorful evening
Luxor Las Vegas
I thought that instead of throwing money away in the casinos, I'd throw it away on a helicopter ride!
Port of Miami
Took a Heli trip to catch the sunset over downtown. Clouds had there way with me so I had to settle.
View to a Dream
Luckily captured a reluctant storm brewing above the low clouds.
How big is my world
From the same Star-trail set, only I used just one sky exposure (the lucky one)
Miles Rock Lighthouse
Waiting on the no-show moon from Kirby Cove last night watching the birds dive-bomb for their suppers...
Was snapping a bunch of North Tower/Skyline shots and then looked over and saw something equally worthy. Beautiful morning - shirtsleeve weather at 6am
Crystal Pier Pacific Beach Twilight
Super Moon (in Hiding)
Was waiting for the moon to break through last night, but it didn't. Second place: a set of steak knives!
Another one from last night's fantastic weather and moonrise
Full Moon over Downtown
Since I started shooting moonshots almost 4 years ago, I've been waiting/trying to get this shot - the Pyramid, North Tower and the Moon. I was just hoping to get them in the same frame, but had some serious good fortune tonight that they were all perfectly aligned. That's not going to happen for a few years again... Went out here pretty early and pretty well froze by the end, but I'm pretty stoked.
Moonrise over Alcatraz
Crescent Moon Through the Gate
Up early this morning to catch this 5.6% waxing crescent line up with Coit Tower. Unfortunately, the don't keep Coit Tower lighted all night long, so that was a bust. Fortunately, there are a couple *other* things to shoot in the area....
Stanford Dish Full Moon
Hanging out next to some horses and geese waiting for to see if I was in the right place. had to move a couple times to follow the line-up. I've been wanting this one for quite a while
We had to work for this one. Long walk, but it was worth it.
Started on the City side this morning to try and get the moonset. The fog came in very quickly so we all ran (drove) up to the headlands to get on top of it. There was a couple having this sweet little picnic right at the prime spot for this view. within very little time they were surrounded by around 20 people w/ tripods. Hope he wasn't going to propose.
The lights on the towers of the bridge made cool little batman type beacons in the fog layer
